CLANG, CLANG GOES MY LGB TROLLEY!
The new New York Trolley from LGB is amazing. With its digital sound effects of a clanging bell, screeching brakes, track click and announcer's voice, it's so realistic you might want to wear a conductor's hat when you "drive" it. It has an onboard decoder, so it works with all your LGB multi-train systems. Details include working interior lights, marker lights, a motorman and even a couple of passengers. It's really terrific. Hmm....let's see...G gauge is big enough to be used outdoors, but what if you want something bigger than G gauge?
Well there's a bigger gauge that you can install and actually ride on, but I didn't stop there. I went from G gauge to a full sized train!
No, I didn't buy it, but I did drive it for an hour! And you can too. The hour includes instruction on how to operate the diesel, the very one shown in the photo, and you get to operate it yourself. The cab can hold four people. Cost is a $150 donation for an hour. Up to four people can ride along with you. The museum only has about 1/4 mile of track, but I don't think you want to take a train out on the mainline anyway!
